The Personal Data Privacy Protection Department Issues a Binding Decision Against a Company in the Telecommunications and Information Technology Sector
The National Data Privacy Office of the National Cyber Security Agency has issued a Binding Decision against a company in Qatar’s telecommunications and information technology sector. The decision requires the company to improve its compliance with Law No. (13) of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection, including reviewing, updating, and strengthening its administrative, technical, and financial procedures to ensure adequate protection of personal data. This binding decision, No. (1) of 2025, was issued following a report from the Cyber Incident Response and Recovery Department at the National Cyber Security Agency regarding a personal data breach. Investigation findings confirmed that the company in question had violated the provisions of Law No. (13) of 2016.Latest News
