NCSA discusses the National Cyber Security Strategy

On Monday the 27th of February, 2023. The National Cyber Security Agency held a meeting with a number of entities from different sectors to discuss the National Cyber Security Strategy (2023-2028).

The meeting was held to complement the efforts of the Agency in engaging entities in unifying visions and aspirations of the country’s strategy.

For her part, Engineer Dana Yousef Al Abdulla, Director of National Cyber Assurance and Governance Affairs presented the action plan that began few months ago in order to prepare for the draft of the National Cyber Security strategy in collaboration with a large number of entities.

Eng. Al Abdulla discussed the main components of the strategy which were set in line with the requirements of the Planning & Statistics Authority and with Qatar’s National Vision 2030. She stressed on the agency’s keenness to align the strategy with the country’s aspirations in view of the existing challenges and opportunities.

Mrs. Al Abdulla affirmed that the principles of shared responsibility and Unifying efforts will reflect the identity of the National Cyber Security Strategy which in return will enhance the strategic goals and initiatives during the next five years.

The National Cyber Security Strategy was assigned to the National Cyber Security Agency according to the Emiri Decree No. (1) for the year 2021 in addition to supervising its implementation and monitor performance.

The participants expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the National Cyber Security Agency which will facilitate the upcoming stages of preparing and launching the strategy.
