NCSA and Google Discuss Ways and Areas of Joint Collaboration

On Monday 22nd of May 2023, HE. Eng. Abdul Rahman Bin Ali Al Farahid Al Malki, the President of the National Cyber Security Agency, met with Mr. Karan Bhatia, Head of Public Policy and Government Relations at Google, during the launching ceremony of Google Cloud in Doha. Both parties discuss ways and areas of joint collaboration between the National Cyber Security Agency and Google, as well as reviewing the agency’s role in the cyber policy industry in Qatar. And they highlighted the importance of the projects and programs that the Agency provides, which aims to secure Qatar’s cyberspace according to the latest international practices in the field. Furthermore, several important topics were discussed, such as Google’s commitment in the digital and the technological transformation plans in the State of Qatar. In addition, the expansion and participation of Google in a number of projects that aim to enhance digital and cyber capabilities in the state of Qatar, and the whole region. This meeting comes in light of the Agency’s efforts to promote and ensure the highest levels and international best practices in the field of cybersecurity, in addition to its effective role in strengthening partnerships with global cyber organization and building new partnerships in order to secure Qatar’s cyberspace.
