The National Cyber Security Agency participates in the 15th Meeting of the Middle East and North Africa Cybercrime Task Forces

The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) participated in the 15th INTERPOL Meeting of Middle East and North Africa Cybercrime Task Forces, held in cooperation between INTERPOL’s Cybercrime Directorate and the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar. During the meeting, INTERPOL honored the National Cyber Security Agency, represented by Mr. Ahmed Al-Hammadi, Director General of the Agency. The event also witnessed the launch of the first joint operation led by INTERPOL’s Regional Cybercrime Operations Office for the Middle East and North Africa — Operation “Desert Rise.” This landmark initiative brings together countries from across the region and INTERPOL to identify and dismantle malicious cyber infrastructures, track suspects, and apprehend them to prevent further financial losses. NCSA also delivered a presentation on the National Cyber Incident Management Framework. Additionally, the Cyber Exercise Committee conducted a full-scale cyber drill for participating countries. Specialized training sessions were also delivered in collaboration between NCSA and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The Agency further participated in additional cyber exercises throughout the event.
