The National Cyber Security Agency organizes a meeting with training professionals

The National Cyber Security Agency organized a meeting with 210 training coordinators and directors from different government entities. The meeting aimed to enhance cybersecurity indicators at the national and community level and to create a safe work environment. During the meeting, the National Cyber Security Agency highlighted the importance of the the National Cyber Training Program, and its sub-programs, as well as the benefits of the distance learning system LMS, clarifying the objectives of this system, and the added awareness value it provides. In this regard, Mr. Khalid Al-Hashemi, Director of National Cyber Empowerment and Excellence Affairs at the National Cyber Security Agency emphasized that a stable and advanced work environment depends on a secure safe space, and to achieve this, the agency introduced the National Cyber Training Program, which supports and embodies the agency’s approach in dealing with cyber threats. He added "The National Cyber Training Program aligns with the agency’s proactive approach to cybersecurity, which focuses on raising awareness, providing training, and enhancing cyber qualifications. Al Hashemi stressed that the success of the National Cyber Training Program relies on the collaboration of targeted entities in awareness training programs and activities, and the agency is fully committed to providing all the necessary clarifications and information related to the program. For her part, Mrs. Dalal Al-Aqeedi, Director of the National Cyber Excellence Department, explained that “the National Cyber Training Program in its new version includes new training programs and events, and the targeted segments have been expanded”. She added, "The program in its current version is structured around two main tracks. The first track is centered on raising cyber security awareness. It includes cybersecurity self-awareness program and workshops that aim to promote cybersecurity awareness. The second track focuses on career development in the cybersecurity field. It offers various programs such as a training camp for fresh graduates, a professional program, a management program and a leadership program.” Al Aqeedi indicated that the meeting was interactive, and involved in-depth discussions. Attendees were accurately defined about the goals and objectives of the National Cyber Training Program. The National Cyber Training Program is one of the main projects of the National Agency for Cybersecurity. It offers different awareness activities for organizations, community and individuals. Over the past year, the program has successfully trained over 79,000 individuals from 91 organizations. This includes 76,870 trainees in the awareness programs, 1,586 trainees in the foundation program, and 1,253 trainees in the specialists training track. The program honored employees of 6 participating entities including: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Primary Health Care Corporation, Kahramaa, Qatar Aluminum, Qatar University, and Qatari Diar.
