A GCC Delegation visits The National Cyber Security Agency

On Thursday, July 6, 2023. The National Cyber Security Agency hosted a delegation from the Gulf Cooperation Council to learn about the leading Qatari experiment “The Cyber Security Educational Curricula” that was launched by the Agency in collaboration with The Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

The program is considered the first of its kind in the area targeting students in the school environment.  It addresses every age group with the relevant content taking into consideration their maturity and awareness levels. It also includes students with special needs.

 

The delegation included 23 specialists in the field of cyber security who had a chance to go through the project and its goals that revolve around introducing the society in general -and children and youths in specific - to the concept of digital citizenship in addition to preparing a future generation of Qatari Youths capable of dealing efficiently and safely with technological tools as well as building a cyber safe society capable of combating cyber challenges. The program also includes training society segments with the fundamentals of personal data protection. The delegation also went through the main functions of The National Cyber Security Agency and its specialties which aim to protect the nations’ cyber space.
